The relevant Jamaican authorities – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, the Customs Department, the Trade Board Limited and the Jamaica Promotion Corporation (JAMPRO) – assisted the Community mission team in checking the authenticity of the movement certificates EUR.1 (issued since 1 January 2002 until the conduct of the mission) and the correctness of the information given in these documents. The authorities furnished all information requested by the Community mission team for the purpose of identifying the conditions under which the textile products exported by the relevant companies to the Community had been made and whether the relevant origin rule – the manufacture from yarn in this particular case – had been respected.
