Considering that the processing of yarn into ready-made garments does not increase or diminish the weight as such and considering the total weight of 11,172,300 kg of ready made garments imported into the Community during the period January 2001 to December 2004 (cf. annex 8), it is evident that the Chinese yarn supplies to Jamaica (596,100 kg from 1998 to 2004) plus the minor quantity transshipped through Hong Kong were not sufficient in order to manufacture the goods subsequently exported to the Community.
