This opened a new field of resins spanning the entire density range associated with high pressure LDPE to completely HDPE resins” , alsmede dat voor het instellen van de dichtheid (zie blz.387, laatste twee regels tot blz.388, 1e alinea en blz. 423, 2e alinea): “Copolymers containing propylene, 1-butene, 1-hexene, or even 1-octene have been made commercially.” Op grond hiervan zal de vakman zich ook realiseren dat geringe hoeveelheden a-olefinen (a-alkenen) als comonomeren in de polyethenen die in het octrooi worden gebruikt aanwezig kunnen zijn.
