De voorganger van Henry c.s., Charlotte Maria Richardson, kocht bij akte verleden door een ambtenaar ‘charged with the functions of notary at the island of Sint Maarten’ – dus bij notariële akte – op 5 januari 1942 voor de prijs van f. 350,= ‘in full and free ownership, free of mortgage and other debts and under warranty according to law, the following property to wit: - A wooden two room house, built on a lot of land, opposite the land belonging to the heirs of the late Hyppolite Percival, situated in the Front Street at the foot of the town of Philipsburg, Sint Maarten, and such with all the rights and servitudes, profits and charges, as well as conveniences and inconveniences attached to the abovedescribed house’ (volledige akte als productie 17 bij het inleidend verzoekschrift gevoegd).
