23. BNP Jersey obtained an ex parte worldwide freezing order against Mme [Appellante] before the trial, in August 2016. Mme [Appellante] tried and failed to set it aside on an inter partes hearing, and the order was confirmed (with minor amendments) by the Royal Court in November 2016. Mme [Appellante] refused to comply with the order to disclose her assets, and as a consequence her subsequent appeal of this order to the Court of Appeal was dismissed (see judgment of the Court of Appeal dated 21 February 2017, annexed at Tab 8).
