Het Statement houdt onder meer in: "The Y STR profiles obtained from AHH372#09, #10, #11, #12, are single source partial profiles that match each other and the corresponding profile components for RFN929. (...) The SGMplus profiles obtained for AHH372#09, #10, #11, #12, #15, #17, and #19 consist of mixed DNA profiles indicative of originating from at least two individuals. The components in each of the results can be attributed to the presence of DNA from [slachtoffer] and RFN929 and therefore DNA could have originated from them. (...) The result for AHH372#10 was evaluated further as the result contained the most information and consisted of an apparent major profile which matched the reference DNA profile of [slachtoffer] and a minor profile. Assuming the presence of DNA from two individuals and [slachtoffer] is a contributor, a minor profile was determined that matched the profile of RFN929 and therefore DNA could have originated from him. If the DNA did not originate from RFN929, then the profiles must match by chance. It is calculated that the probability of obtaining matching profiles if the DNA originated from an unknown, unrelated individual is approximately one in three million, six hundred thousand (based on the supplied Dutch reference allelic database). In the light of the result obtained from AHH372#10, the remaining profiles have not been statistically evaluated. (...)" Blijkens p. 10 van het rapport van het NFI van 11 januari 2010 betreft RFN929 het DNA-profiel van verdachte.
