In Sommerfeld/Duitsland wordt overwogen (rov. 71): "As regards the issue of ordering a psychological report on the possibilities of establishing contact between the child and the applicant, the Court observers that as a general rule it is for the national courts to assess the evidence before them, including the means to ascertain the relevant facts (...). It would be going too far to say that domestic courts are always required to involve a psychological expert on the issue of access to a parent not having custody, but this issue depends on the specific circumstances of each case, having due regard to the age and maturity of the child concerned."
