“In today’s Chamber judgment in the case of Borg v. Malta (application no. 37537/13) the European Court of Human Rights held: unanimously, that there had been a violation of Article 6 § 3 in conjunction with Article 6 § 1 (right to a fair trial and right to legal assistance of one’s own choosing) of the European Convention on Human Rights, and by a majority, that there had been no violation of Article 6 § 1 in respect of an alleged lack of legal certainty concerning the constitutional proceedings.
