The Government of The Netherlands undertakes, within a period of 1 month as from the date of this agreement, to convert or otherwise transform all outstanding long-term debt obligations of Fortis Bank Nederland (Holding) N.V. and its subsidiaries vis à vis Fortis Bank NV/SA for a principal amount up to 16 Bio € into State-guaranteed tradeable securities, issued on the same terms and conditions as the existing debt obligations, except as otherwise agreed by the parties.
